Mentorship can be a great way to prepare for the next steps in your career path, gain perspective when approaching challenges, and build sustainable, positive professional relationships with inherent value. However, finding a mentor and/or being a mentor can be intimidating, especially for underrepresented or marginalized individuals seeking mentors who can understand some of the nuances of their lived experiences.

In this webinar, we discuss how accessing the values, personalities, and experiences of others can help you build relationships across identities, as well as with individuals with which you have one or more of your salient identities in common. Mentorship can fuel career progress and satisfaction for mentors and mentees with an intentional focus on communication, accountability, strategy, and mutual benefit. This information could be applied to professionals and students.
