Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Committees run concurrently with EACE's fiscal year, July 1 - June 30. 

Committee Purpose/Mission:

EACE promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion where all are respected, accepted and safe. The Diversity & Inclusion Team develops, organizes, and coordinates diversity, equity,  and inclusion efforts tied to the mission of EACE. Within the diversity and inclusion team, there are members who serve as liaisons to EACE committees ensuring that D&I remains at the center of our work. There are also several affinity & interest groups that serve as safe spaces and resource groups for the organization. These affinity & interest groups include but may not be limited to:

Requirements of the Committee:

D&I Committee Members

  • Work with Director of D&I to develop goals for Affinity Groups and Committee Liaisons
  • Develop goals tied to the EACE Mission for each Affinity Group and Committee
  • Responsible for ensuring all affinity group activities are added to the EACE Master Calendar
  • Actively participate as a member of the EACE committee by attending scheduled meetings and working toward the goals of the committee
  • Ensure D&I voices and concerns are heard and considered in all committee programs and services

Affinity Group Leads

  • Provide space to EACE members interested in an affinity group to be able to collaborate with each other on topics and issues of interest to the group.
  • Affinity group leads work with D&I Director & HQ to create a schedule of activities for the year - content sharing throughout the year (via social media channels, EACE Blog, and listserv, etc.)
  • Organize, facilitate affinity group meetings, content and delivery methods
