EACE Universal Design Format 

EACE promotes a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion where all are respected, accepted, and safe. It is within this spirit we ask that presenters to follow these guidelines:

  • Presentations should be given using the EACE PowerPoint Template.
  • Do not use animations for text.
  • Use colors with a high contrast. Black or dark blue text color on a white background.
  • Use a Sans-Serif font (Arial, Calibri, Verdana)
  • Font size should be a minimum of 18 pt or greater.
  • Text should not overlap with pictures or background images.
  • When utilizing a video, make sure the video is captioned.
  • Utilize words and phrases that do not indicate gender bias.
  • Avoid the use descriptors of gender identity or sexual orientation as modifiers, not as nouns
  • Avoid guessing sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • Promote the use of language that recognizes varying abilities.
  • Use language that captures diverse global contexts.
