1. Describe your interest in serving on the EACE Board in this capacity.

My interest in serving as Director of Technology & Information Management for EACE is rooted in over a decade of meaningful involvement with the organization and a deep commitment to how we use technology to support our members and advance our mission.  Since joining EACE, I have had the privilege of contributing in a variety of roles—including Director of Finance, Annual Conference Co-Chair, Professional Development Director, committee co-chair, committee member, and conference presenter—which have given me a broad perspective on the organization’s operations and the needs of our membership. Through these experiences, I have seen firsthand how effective tools, data management, and communication platforms can strengthen engagement and improve the overall member experience. I am particularly interested in how EACE can continue to leverage technology to better connect members, support programming, and ensure efficient access to information and resources. As Director of Technology & Information Management, I would be excited to focus on optimizing our systems, supporting data-informed decision-making, and exploring innovative solutions that enhance the member experience. I hope to build on the strong foundation already in place and continue advancing EACE’s mission.

2. What skills and experiences do you possess that have prepared you to be successful in this role?

My professional experiences and long-standing involvement with EACE have prepared me well to serve as Director, Technology & Information Management. Through my various leadership roles within the organization, I have developed a strong understanding of EACE’s structure, operations, and the systems that support our work. Serving on the board previously strengthened my skills in strategic planning, organizational operations, and collaborative leadership. In particular, my time as Director of Finance required careful data management, attention to detail, and the ability to use systems to support transparent, informed decision-making. My involvement in conference planning and sponsorship has also given me experience working with event platforms, communication tools, and process coordination ensuring information is accessible, accurate, and effectively shared with members and stakeholders. In my professional role, I regularly engage with data, technology platforms, and systems that support program delivery and communication. I am comfortable evaluating processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and user experience. I also value clear documentation, accessibility, and consistency in how information is managed and shared. Together, these experiences have prepared me to support data-informed practices and ensure that our systems effectively serve the organization’s goal and the needs of our members.

3. What ideas and/or goals do you have for this position?

If selected as Director of Technology & Information Management, my primary goal would be to support EACE by ensuring our technology is practical, accessible, and adds clear value to the member experience. I would be excited to serve as a liaison to the Technology Committee, partnering to understand what is working well and where there may be opportunities for thoughtful improvement. Collaboration would be central to my approach. I would work closely with board members and committee chairs to understand their needs and support the use of technology in ways that feel manageable and effective. Whether supporting committee workflows or enhancing communication, I see this role as one of partnership. Overall, my goal would be to take a thoughtful, steady approach by helping ensure that EACE’s technology supports the important work of the organization and enhances the experience of its members in simple, meaningful ways.
