This favorite EACE program provides the exclusive opportunity for college/university career center staff to participate in virtual employer site visits during the summer months in order to explore career pathways, learn current recruiting processes, uncover internship options and discover potential partnerships. NEW FOR 2022: The virtual EACE Professional Exchange program is open to non-members for a fee of $20 per site visit.

Discussing Entry-level Jobs, Internships or Both? Main Types of Positions Looking to Hire: College Majors Currently Recruiting:
Both Interns in all 49 departments in the Summer and Fall, entry-level roles such as Program Coordinators and Research Assistants, as well as temporary Research Assistants. All majors - we have 49 programs that all have different positions and internships, and they range from research-based to admin-based. Research-based programs will want those with majors in their specific regional focus, while admin-based programs accept majors such as business, communication, political science, international affairs, economics, etc. The most common majors we see in intern and entry-level roles in International Affairs and Political Science.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision-makers concerned with global security and prosperity. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of some 200 employees, including more than 120 analysts working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.
Site Visit Description:
In this session, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will discuss an overview of the role of think tanks, an explanation of CSIS, and the current projects taking place at our center. Next, we will provide an insider look at what internships and entry-level roles are available, as well as tips to provide your students to ensure their applications stand out. This advice will be applicable to a multitude of think tanks with similar focuses as well.

Professional Exchange site visits are managed by the EACE Connections Committee Members. All questions pertaining to this event should be directed to the Site Manager listed above. Registrants will be contacted closer to the date of the event with more information on the agenda and instructions for how to join the virtual event.

Employers are not eligible to attend other organizations' Professional Exchange site visits.
