EACE Pride Month Event with Tony Enos

Wednesday, June 2, 2021 | 5:00 - 6:30 PM ET

Join the EACE Diversity & Inclusion Team's LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group for a celebration of PRIDE featuring Tony Enos, a talented singer/songwriter/producer, electrifying live stage entertainer, and activist.

Tony, who was recently hailed as "a National treasure in the LGBTQ2S Community" by Rowan University, and "the most exciting performer to come out of Philadelphia since Patti LaBelle" by gbmnews.com will guide us through a presentation in honor of LGBTQ2S Pride Month, with a special focus on two-spirit history and the reclamation movement.

Tony's live performance will include introspection and insight into his work as an Indigenous queer artist, and sharing of traditional Native American knowledge. Audience members will have an opportunity for Q&A with Tony.

Tony is a two-time Native American Music Awards Nominee, who was recently named one of "The Native Americans Changing the World," by Ozy Media in March of 2021! Tony's recently released album “POSI+IVE,” chronicles the Two-Spirit singer/songwriter/producer’s journey of thriving as a person living with HIV (PLWH) since his diagnosis in July of 2006.

Tony Enos celebrates over a decade as a singer/songwriter/producer, electrifying live stage entertainer, activist, and is one of the most prolific generative queer artists of his time. Always encouraging love wherever he goes, and fighting for our youth, the Philadelphia native was voted 2017 Native Trailblazer Indie Music Awards "Artist To Watch" for his single "Two Spirit," which has become the Two-Spirit movement's anthem.

About the LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group:

The LGBTQIA+ Affinity group is a forum to bring together EACE members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those who serve those students and prospective recruits in their day-to-day roles. We want to empower our members to become aware and develop best practices to grow LGBTQIA+ visibility in the workplace and how to support students as they enter the workforce.

“To develop the future workforce” is the cornerstone of EACE’s mission. Join us as we live out this mission for our LGBTQIA+ members and students we serve. We also invite and affirm those who have intersectionality with other marginalized groups to utilize this space as a forum to share your ideas and grow. Our group not only will support our students, but give our members an intentional network with which to serve our own unique voice within EACE and build community.
